eleventh hour

is

an annual gathering, hosted by EXCAVATE BODY under the direction of Jacqui Hinkson, consisting of 11 hours of dance classes, workshops, and score-building exercises followed by a public performance at Windmill Arts.

The focus of eleventh hour is establishing a financially accessible day for dance artists to receive training from exceptional teachers, explore their physical and artistic edges, and create spontaneously, instinctively, and collaboratively to compose and perform in a work.

The first iteration of eleventh hour took place in March 2025 at Windmill Arts and welcomed 15 participating dancers, 1 sound designer, and 5 established teaching artists across various dance and movement disciplines.

EXCAVATE BODY workshops

a vital part of EXCAVATE BODY’s seasonal programming is an offering of workshops hosted at Windmill Arts.

Each season, under the direction of Jacqui Hinkson, EXCAVATE BODY offers workshops based on the company’s upcoming projects—presenting the various methods, repertory, and games that find their way into process, and opening these up to the Atlanta movement community.

These workshops are a time of play, connection, and rigor, and serve as platform for Jacqui to share her current inspirations and ideas.
